BEEFCAKE
BEEFCAKE is a dance performance about masculinity and what it means in our current society. A group of 11 actors highlight different sides of masculinity and question masculine stereotypes. What does masculinity mean to the players as individuals? And what does it mean for the group?
Sterre Bijker and Mina Schneider. They are students Teaching Dance at ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem.
This is a performance by New Makers at Speels Collectief. Within the New Makers programme, fourth-year art school students work with a diverse group of performers to create their own performance. This gives them the chance to develop their maker skills and specialise as inclusive theatre or dance makers.
