How can you feel free in your body? Even if it doesn't always do what you want? Looks the way you want? Being seen as you want?
Bound is a dance investigation into the experience of bodily freedom. Inspired by birds, it creates a choreography about getting stuck and letting go. About hovering and landing. About dependence and autonomy. About the impossibility of stepping out of yourself. About freedom in bondage.

Within Speels Collectief's talent development maker programme, young makers create an artistic work. Third- and fourth-year art school students work with a diverse group of performers on their own performance or theatrical research. This gives them the opportunity to develop their maker skills and grow into inclusive theatre or dance makers.

This performance is directed by new creator Maud Bakker. She is a student of the dance teacher training programme at ArtEZ.
