ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE is a theatrical play about power and systems. Players from Connect Arnhem (consisting of newcomers) and players from Speels Collectief (a mixed-abled ensemble) will undertake a theatrical experiment with you.
Food parcels in our homes. Billions for defence. Nationalism swelling. The language of threat and defence is embedding itself in our daily lives.
But weapons do not bring peace.
They're going off.
They touch.
Who will be affected first? What happens to solidarity with ‘the other’ in a world that increasingly feels like ‘every man for himself’?
What happens worldwide happens here on a small scale. In ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, you are right in the middle of it as a spectator and discover diverse perspectives on a society under tension.
