In this performance, the Community Tilburg Production Group explores how our view of power is formed, and how it can shift. By playing with perspective, choreography, and physical compositions, clichés and stereotypes surrounding power dynamics are made visible and questioned.
Something is slowly shifting. Images are tilting. Positions are turning around. What happens to our gaze when power is no longer unambiguous? When the one at the bottom is in control, or when height suddenly loses its strength?
A physical and visual quest for our image of power. An invitation to look again. To feel how perspective not only determines what we see, but also what we believe. Speels Collectief creates a thought-provoking experience that invites you to look differently and question your own assumptions.
This is a performance by actors from Speels Collectief Community Tilburg.
Under the guidance of a choreographer and/or director, we create an interdisciplinary performance in Tilburg every year with players from the production group. In the spring, at Community Tilburg, we work on a site-specific theatre performance that is part of the annual Theatre Route Nabij at Landpark Assisië.
