LUPUS MEUS
LUPUS MEUS (Latin for ‘my wolf’) is a contemporary retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. The story of a girl seen for centuries as naive and vulnerable, but in which that very vulnerability turns out to be a strength.
As narrator, the director takes you into the forest. There, Little Red Riding Hood finds herself face to face with her wolf. Not to flee. Not to win. But to watch. Maybe fighting the wolf makes no sense. Maybe he is asking for something else.
LUPUS MEUS is a poetic performance about vulnerability, care and self-love. About what you'd rather push away and what you have to face in order to move on.
This is a performance by players from Speels Collectief Community Tilburg. Concept and direction: Maren Van Cauwenberge.
Over Speels Collectief Community Tilburg:
Speels Collectief is a diverse, mixed-abled theatre company. This performance was developed at Community Tilburg: led by a dance maker and/or director, we create an interdisciplinary performance each year in Tilburg with players from the production group. In spring, we work at Community Tilburg on a site-specific theatre performance that is part of the annual Theatre Route Near at Landpark Assisië.
