This year, for the first time, the Playgroup is participating in Festival Near!
Community Tilburg of Speels Collectief consists of a Production Group and a Play Group. The Production Group performs regionally and has therefore appeared several times on Theatre Route Nearby. The Playgroup consists mainly of residents of the Landpark and regularly shows a short presentation to family and friends. This year, they are also taking part in Festival Near for the first time. As an opening act, they will show theatrical images in the middle of nature.

Within Speels Collectief's talent development maker programme, young makers create an artistic work. Third- and fourth-year art school students work with a diverse group of performers on their own performance or theatrical research. This gives them the opportunity to develop their maker skills and grow into inclusive theatre or dance makers. They are artistically guided by Merel van Lieshout and dance teacher Ella de Coninck.
