Start the engine, turn off your sound and follow the route.
We take you on the road trip.
We take you on a journey.
In the middle of the city, and yet you will never get there.
Three houses of people waiting.
People who live in a different place from you.
They imagined what you would look like.
How you would look.
How you would laugh.
Whether you feel welcome.
A drive-through performance, taking your car or bike past three residential locations of
various healthcare institutions in Arnhem, with narrative podcast ON THE
ROAD for the road.
At each location, you will see a scene and listen to a podcast along the way. Travel
along all kinds of stories of people in corona crisis. About suddenly being in
have to live in isolation, about all the questions we had, about the lack of
friends and family.
Marloes Jobse and Elena Foster. Marloes graduated from the Theatre Teacher course and Elena attended the Dance Teacher course at ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem.
This is a performance by New Makers at Speels Collectief. Within the New Makers programme, fourth-year art school students work with a diverse group of performers to create their own performance. This gives them the chance to develop their maker skills and specialise as inclusive theatre or dance makers.
The public moved by car and by bike along three residential locations. The first was garden of Philadelphia's Veluwestraat residential location, the second location the car park of Siza's Römerselaan residential location and the third location was the courtyard of the Barentszhuis residential location
from Siza. The show played five times.
