DE KEGELCLUB

‘You have to let the ball do the work’

The sudden appearance of five players in the small opening at theend of the lane, where the bowling pins usually stand, unleashes the sound of oh’s! en ah’s! among the audience. The bowling alley comes to life – the balls start to roll, disco lights and music turn on, and the players themselves seem to transform into a bowling alley.

Five strange companions find themselves in the bowling club. Where did they end up? A titillating, absurd dance theater performance.

Kato Mergan (1998) is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. In 2019, she graduated from the FHK Academy for Dance Education in Tilburg. After that, she chose to further develop her artistic vision and to situate herself within the context of the contemporary dance circuit during her study Choreography at the FHK Dance Academy.

DE KEGELCLUB was made for Theaterroute Nabij on 14th and 15th of May. During a nice walk through Landpark Assisië in Biezenmortel, visitors viewed four different performances, including THE KEGELCLUB on the bowling alley of Landpark Assisië.
