“If I could choose a superpower, I would choose time travel. I would go back in time and reverse my misfortune.”
The performance EVERY HERO COUNTS is an investigation into heroes and what standard our society has for heroes. What criteria should a hero meet according to our society? Do we know people in our environment that we perceive as heroes? And could we ourselves be heroes? In this graduation research you see a search for the meaning of heroes, and for the hero in ourselves and the people around us.
Merlin Munster. She is student Theatre in Education at Fontys School of the Arts in Tilburg.
This is a performance by Nieuwe Makers at Speels Collectief. Fourth-year art academy students work with a diverse group of performers on their own performance within the Nieuwe Makers trajectory. This gives them the opportunity to develop their creative skills and to specialize as an inclusive theater or dance maker.
